NEW HOPE & IVYLAND PLUS WHAT I WEAR TO WORK

A couple of weekends ago we headed to New Hope, Pennsylvania to take a ride on the Ivyland Railroad- a restored vintage passenger train from the 1920's!  We all had so much fun riding through historic and beautiful Bucks County- it's a great little day trip from New York or New Jersey.  Plus, the towns of New Hope, Pennsyvania and Lambertville, New Jersey have cute shops and great restaurants- so you can really make a nice day out of it!

Now on to What I Wear To Work...well, as a stay-at-home mom of two, I don't have a need to really dress up everyday, so I thought I'd show you an outfit that you can find me in most days.  Here I'm just wearing jeans and a sweatshirt, but because the jeans are rolled up and paired with fun motorcycle boots, and because the sweatshirt has some sparky jewels on it- I think it helps it look a little more dressed up.  I added a fun flannel shirt from last year and tank top underneath for some layers...grabbed my diaper bag...and "whale"...I was ready for work!

CHOCOLATE THEMED GETAWAY FOR V-DAY

Valentine's Day is around the corner, and you know how I feel about flowers, lingerie, or chocolate...SAVE YOUR MONEY, and instead jet set somewhere with your honey. This upcoming weekend happens to be unique because it's Valentine's Day on Sunday and President's Day (holiday/day off from work for some) on Monday. If this is going to be a long weekend for you and your loved one, then this is your chance to plan a great little getaway and I can help you. I will be posting a few different Chocolate Themed Getaways for this weekend on here, so check them out and see if any of them interest you.1- Hershey Park, Pennsylvania
My recommendation would be to stay at The Hershey Hotel and indulge yourselves at The Spa at the Hershey Hotel. It's truly a Chocolate Spa with chocolate treatments...oh my gosh I think I've died and gone to heaven! How amazing does that sound? I mean something that's literally called The Chocolate Spa screams Valentine's Day to me. Sure I think it's kind of cheesy, but a bit sexy at the same time. And not for nothing, Hershey, PA is called the "Sweetest Place on Earth," so how could you go wrong with that? It's just a two hour drive from Philly, and a three hour drive from New York City. Stay for a night or two and book the Chocolate Immersion special package which includes a Chocolate exfoliation with cocoa beans, followed by a chocolate fondue wrap for 1.5 hours for $165.

NEW ICE BAR IN PENNSYLVANIA

You may not have to jet set far away to find an Ice Bar anymore. Just 2 &1/2 hours outside of New York City, in Northeastern Pennsylvania (in the town of Mountaintop), the owner of Damenti's Restaurant is putting up a free-standing Ice Bar in the restaurant's backyard. The Ice Bar will have a Pirate Theme and will hold up to about 40 people. It is being made out of more than 50 tons of ice, and will be kept at a chilly 20 degrees so it doesn't melt. The only Ice Bar I've ever been to was in Reykjavik, Iceland. It was a lot of fun! I've heard there are some great ones in St.Tropez, Dubai, Tokyo, Cape Town, Australia and even Portugal. Closer to the U.S.- there will soon be this one in Pennsylvania, there's one in Orlando, Florida, and one is Las Vegas, Nevada. Have any of you guys ever been to an Ice Bar? If so, where?
