WARDROBE WEDNESDAY: SARATOGA SHOPPING

Over New Year's, we visited the town of Saratoga Springs in upstate New York while we were vacationing in Lake George for the holiday.  I absolutely love Saratoga for two reasons- (1) It's where I spent four years of my life because I went to college there, and (2) It is the cutest town filled with great restaurants and some fabulous shopping!
I always enjoy boutique shopping because you can find unique pieces, and it supports local business...that's a win win in my book!  While walking around Saratoga, my sister and I found a store we really loved and wanted to buy everything in it called Lucia Boutique!  I bought this floral top and this sweater from there.  Here I paired it with jeans and booties (I wore this outfit this past weekend when we took the boys to see The Fresh Beat Band Live at Madison Square Garden), but I think it would look great with a pencil skirt, tights and heels as well.  The great news is, Lucia Boutique has an online website where you can shop, so if you can't make it to Saratoga, there's still a way to buy things you love!  Happy Wednesday, and happy shopping!

CATCHING UP FROM 2014

Hey there everyone!  It sure has been a long time since I've blogged, but the end of 2014 was certainly a whirlwind.  Between all of us getting sick for about two weeks straight, getting ready for the holidays, hosting and attending family functions, it sure was an exciting but also exhausting end to the year.  In the middle of all of this, we took the boys to do a few fun activities and also went on a couple of family vacations to Hershey Park and also to Lake George.  Here's a little photo catch up from our end of 2014.

A night out to see Frozen On Ice...

Driving to see the Holiday Lights at the PNC Bank Arts Center...

Spending the day at Sesame Place for their Very Furry Christmas Show...

Hosting Thanksgiving at our house...

Decorating gingerbread houses, Frozen castles and Olaf cookies...

Having Santa pay us a visit to our house...

Finally picking out and cutting down our Christmas tree...

Pictures with Santa...

A trip to Hershey Park and a ride on the Polar Express train with Santa Claus in Strasburg, Pennsylvania...

Christmas morning...nothing like seeing our boy's eyes light up!!!

Seeing the Holiday Train Show at the New York Botanical Garden...

Going to see the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center...

And finally a New Years Trip to Lake George with my sister and her family, where we got to go snow tubing, make s'mores, and enjoy the beauty of the Adirondacks!

I hope 2015 will be an exciting year for us with lots of adventures and jet setting as well.
Happy New Year!

SWEET SARATOGA

Saratoga Springs has a sweet spot in my heart and always will...I went to college in this adorable upstate New York town!  When we were up in Lake George for New Year's we decided to make a day trip to Saratoga to show my alma mater to the kids, and to revisit some of my old stomping grounds.  There's so much to do in Saratoga Springs, New York from shopping to fine dining to spas and of course the famous racetrack.  I blogged about a perfect weekend in Saratoga here.  If you haven't been to Saratoga definitely check it out, and even if you've been, it's worth checking out again!
