Last Friday I told you guys about Sira & Mara and the story behind the #sisterhoodofthetravelingnecklace.  I wore it last time with jeans and a sweater.  So today, I wanted to pair the necklace with a dress since it is so pretty and fancy.  I will be wearing this dress (that I scored for $24.99 at TJ Maxx) on Valentine's Day when we go to a a co-worker's vow renewal.  I won't wear it that day with the necklace because I am going to ship it onto the next sister :(...but, that is the fun of it!!! I can't wait to see how the next ladies style it!

WARDROBE WEDNESDAY: RED LACE AND LEOPARD

Valentine's Day is coming, and so I thought I'd pull together a look with a bit of red in it!  I'm not a Valentine's mush, but I love being festive (especially for my kids), and I also LOVE the color red!  I scored this top in store at H&M on sale, and got this leopard scarf online on sale too!  This time of year I tend to spend my money on accessories.  I feel like my closet is filled with enough winter clothes for now, and I prefer to wait and save up to purchase spring clothes.  That being said, I can't pass up a good sale!

WARDROBE WEDNESDAY: SARATOGA SHOPPING

  Over New Year's, we visited the town of Saratoga Springs in upstate New York while we were vacationing in Lake George for the holiday.  I absolutely love Saratoga for two reasons- (1) It's where I spent four years of my life because I went to college there, and (2) It is the cutest town filled with great restaurants and some fabulous shopping!
  I always enjoy boutique shopping because you can find unique pieces, and it supports local business...that's a win win in my book!  While walking around Saratoga, my sister and I found a store we really loved and wanted to buy everything in it called Lucia Boutique!  I bought this floral top and this sweater from there.  Here I paired it with jeans and booties (I wore this outfit this past weekend when we took the boys to see The Fresh Beat Band Live at Madison Square Garden), but I think it would look great with a pencil skirt, tights and heels as well.  The great news is, Lucia Boutique has an online website where you can shop, so if you can't make it to Saratoga, there's still a way to buy things you love!  Happy Wednesday, and happy shopping!

WARDROBE WEDNESDAY: FEELING FANCY

I styled this dress and coat (both from Forever 21), and intended to post these outfit pictures leading up to the holidays as inspiration for what to wear to parties, etc.  But, life happened, and we got sooooooooo busy over the holidays, that I'm finally doing it now.  The holidays may be over, but sometimes it's good to dress up and feel fancy- whether it's because you are going on a date, have a wedding to attend, or maybe you just want to wear it at home on a Friday night for a little while to feel good about yourself.  It's a new year, which means it's time for new beginnings.  Maybe dressing up more is one of them for you!  Hope you enjoy!  Happy Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday!  One of my all time favorite fashion pieces for fall is a faux fur vest.  I think it looks great over a shirt, a denim jacket, a dress, a sweater...pretty much anything!  I saw this one at Forever 21 recently, and loved the color, the soft texture, and the under $45 price tag too!  I paired it here with a flannel plaid top, denim joggers and boots, but have also worn it with a tunic and leggings.  I know I will get my money out of this vest for fall and winter!  Do you guys own a faux fur vest? What do you like to wear with it?

WARDROBE WEDNESDAY: GREY CAMO

I never really used to like camouflage clothing, but this year I decided to give it a shot and I am sold! I think it's a fun print and can be worn pretty much throughout any season.  Here I paired a pair of camo jeans with an over sized sweatshirt for a casual look, but added a bit of flair with my new favorite Sira & Mara necklace and bracelet.  This outfit is what I pretty much wear on a daily basis as a mom of two, and I even wore it when we flew to Spain recently because it's comfy, yet stylish.  Speaking of Spain, stay tuned for my first post on our trip there starting tomorrow!  Happy Wednesday!

WARDROBE WEDNESDAY: ISLAND FEVER

Hey guys!  We just got back from a week in Puerto Rico, and boy was it amazing!  We ate delicious Spanish food, basked in the sun, and splashed around in the pool and ocean for eight AMAZING days!  (Can you tell I miss it much? ;-)  Now it's back to reality, and back to cooler temperatures.  I know it's fall here, and everyone is posting pictures of fall fashion, but I couldn't help but share these pictures from our trip.  I love wearing peplum tank tops, and maxi skirts in the warm weather, and I pretty much lived in outfits like this one everyday.  It was in the 70's at night and 90's during the day, so easy, breezy yet stylish is what I chose to wear on the island.  I sure do miss it!  Even my son Richie said to me "Mommy, I like it better in Puerto Rico, it's too cold here!"  Ha! Take me baaaaaack!!! Alright, that's it....fall fashion coming this Friday!  Stay tuned...

WARDROBE WEDNESDAY: WINTER FLORALS

I absolutely love floral print anything!  So when the weather gets cooler, I don't give up on florals, but instead go for darker versions.  I picked up this top pretty recently at my favorite store T.J. Maxx, and love its floral pattern and feminine look.  I paired it with jeans and a clutch and wore this for a date night recently.  Hope you guys are having a great week!  I'll be jet setting to Puerto Rico today, so I will have much more on my trip coming up soon!

WARDROBE WEDNESDAY: NOT READY YET

Everyone seems to be in a "fall state of mind," but according to my calendar it's still summer and so I'm living it up!  I'm getting the most out of my light-colored florals, my bright bags and open-toed shoes.  We have an upcoming trip to Puerto Rico...where I look forward to wearing bathing suits, flip flops, tank tops and maxi dresses!  Fall and Winter will be here soon enough, but for now, I'm not ready yet!
