WARDORBE WEDNESDAY: JUMPSUIT JOY

Jumpsuits have been very in style lately, and I couldn't be happier about that!  They are so easy, lightweight, perfect for travel, and can be dressed up or down.  I picked this one up at T.J. Maxx for $16.99 a couple weeks ago, and love the terrycloth/cotton fabric.  It's so comfortable, casual, and I love its beachy-vibe.  I wore it to the beach in the evening when we took the kids to play in the sand, so I paired it with a crochet sweater since it was a bit cool and I also added a fun statement necklace.

WARDROBE WEDNESDAY: THE MAXI SKIRT

Oh, how I love a good maxi!  Maxi skirts and even dresses are my absolute favorite go-to pieces in the spring and summer.  They are so lightweight and can be dressed up or down.  I found this skirt at T.J. Maxx recently and fell in love with the color, the print and the price...it was $16.99!  I wore this to a friend's casual backyard BBQ party recently, and decided to keep it simple with a black t-shirt, a denim jacket, and then I added some fun colorful accessories.  What are some of your favorite wardrobe go-to pieces for spring and summer?

FASHION FRIDAY: A WHITE JACKET

Hello Jet Setters!  We're back from a few in Atlantic City at The Revel Resort.  We were there for a little r&r and to celebrate our anniversary!  I will have more on our trip next week, but for now I wanted to talk about one of my favorite pieces of clothing for travel or everyday- a white jacket.  Even in the spring and summer, living in the northeast, you always need an extra layer for cool days and nights.  I absolutely love a denim jacket, but a white jacket adds a crisp, clean look to any outfit; be it a t-shirt and jeans or a maxi dress.  I got this jacket at Anthropologie, and have worn it when we traveled to Texas last month, and brought it to Atlantic City too.  The material is so soft, plus the white is nice to show off a tan.  I also added fun pops of colors with my Anthro shirt and clutch, fun neon Target sandals, and this gorgeous Sira & Mara necklace that was sent to me for being "Fan of the Month!"  Happy Friday everyone!

FASHION FRIDAY: STRIPED TUNIC

Today I wanted to talk about my love for tunics.  I've mentioned before how great they are because they are long enough to cover your backside (all you mama's out there know what I'm talking about), and they look great paired with leggings or jeans.  I am also striped obsessed!  Especially in the spring and summer, I think stripes are so nautical, so classy, and they never go out of style.  So when I found this top at Anthropologie I was in love because it's a tunic and it's striped, and it was on sale...three for three!!!  I paired it with dark denim washed jeans here, but I can't wait to wear this top again with white jeans over the summer.  Go grab one before it's gone!  This new bucket bag from Old Navy is another one of my new obsessions- I use it all of the time.  I grabbed this bag a couple of weeks ago when they were having a sale for just $20 (usually sells for $29- still not bad).  It looks like a Coach bag which retails for about 20x the price!  You can't beat a smart style steal when you see one!  Happy Friday jet setters!  I hope you all have a fabulous weekend planned.

FASHION FRIDAY: "ANTRHO-ESQUE"

One of my absolute favorite stores to shop for clothes is Anthropologie.  I think their styles are timeless, and of great quality.  That being said, unless you shop their sale section, their stuff is expensive.  So when I saw this top at Target recently, I grabbed it and threw it in my cart right away, because it is very "Anthro-esque," and it was only $22.99.  I mean, just look how similar this top below is from Anthropologie to the one I'm wearing, and it's $118!!!  Yay for Target!  #targetstyledoesitagain  Happy Friday Jet Setters!

WARDROBE WEDNESDAY: CLASSIC STRIPES

Last weekend I went to a girlfriend's baby shower at Mitch & Toni's and this is what I wore.  I picked up this fit and flare dress at the GAP recently after I was drawn to the figure flattering cut of it, the classic stripe pattern, the 3/4 length sleeves and pockets!  I always love pairing the colors blue, white and red- it's classic and timeless- so that's why I added the belt and the bag.  I also think this dress will be good for spring (sans tights and with strappy sandals).

FASHION FRIDAY: GOING AZTEC

When the aztec print came back in style this fall/winter season I was beyond thrilled because I just absolutely love the look of the pattern!  For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you may have seen me post of picture of this ruana which I picked up at Target (during one of my many diaper runs-turned clothing/beauty runs...lol)!  I love the colors on it and thought I could really "go aztec" by adding this hat which I got for Christmas from Anthropologie.  Plus, this fun and funky Sira & Mara necklace also ties in the gold hardware from the bag and the silver hardware from the sweater...it's one of my favorite new additions to my jewelry collection...and it's totally affordable!  This look screams winter out west to me and I just love it!  Happy Friday!  Hope everyone has a great weekend!

ENZO'S ON ARTHUR AVENUE

Arthur Avenue is the Bronx's own Little Italy.  I just love going there because you feel like you've jet-setted to Italy for some really good "down-home" Italian food without the international flight!  All along Arthur Avenue, you can find great Italian restaurants, pastry shops and specialty stores.  A couple of weekends ago we decided to check out Enzo's of Arthur Avenue for dinner.  IT WAS AMAZING!
If you are looking for good red sauces- then this is the spot.  We started out with some Fried Calamari which was nice and crispy with a good and spicy sauce, we also had their Caesar Salad which was one of the best I've had in awhile.  For dinner we had their Chicken and Veal Parmigiana and both were perfect- nice sauce and cheese proportions and the meat was pounded out nice and thin and fried nice and crisp.
Everything was great, big portions, good service and nice ambiance.  This will definitely be a repeat spot for us!  Here is what I wore to dinner- something casual!
