WARDROBE WEDNESDAY: FEELING FANCY

I styled this dress and coat (both from Forever 21), and intended to post these outfit pictures leading up to the holidays as inspiration for what to wear to parties, etc.  But, life happened, and we got sooooooooo busy over the holidays, that I'm finally doing it now.  The holidays may be over, but sometimes it's good to dress up and feel fancy- whether it's because you are going on a date, have a wedding to attend, or maybe you just want to wear it at home on a Friday night for a little while to feel good about yourself.  It's a new year, which means it's time for new beginnings.  Maybe dressing up more is one of them for you!  Hope you enjoy!  Happy Wednesday!

WARDROBE WEDNESDAY: LONG KIMONO

Kimonos really are the best thing to have in your closet!  They are lightweight and can be thrown over anything from jeans, to a dress, or even a bathing suit.  I really love this longer one I picked up at Forever 21.  The floral print goes with so much, I just love anything in the color black, and the length is perfect to cover the backside.  I wore this outfit over the weekend to my son's friend's 3rd birthday party.  I also will be packing this kimono for our upcoming trip to Texas as my cover up at the pool.  Go and grab a kimono or two at Forever 21, they have so many styles and priced at $20 or less...it's a jet set smart fashion deal!

WARDROBE WEDNESDAY: EASTER LACE AND FAMILY LOVE

Easter Sunday with the boys was so much fun!  They were so excited to get a visit from the Easter bunny which included baskets filled with candies, toys, and clothes and a new stroller from the grandparents!  Celebrations started Saturday at home and continued into Sunday with cousins and family.

The weather was sunny and warm and it was the perfect time to wear some new spring clothing.  I loved having the boys in matching outfits, and we all wore a fun springy color...pink!

 I wore a white lace midi skirt which I know I will wear all summer long.  I love white lace for spring and summer, and this feminine blouse, jewelry and heels were perfect to wear with it for the holiday.  But, I can't wait to wear this skirt again with a t-shirt and sandals and a denim shirt and booties.  Hope you all had a nice holiday with your family and friends!

FASHION FRIDAY: STRIPES AND CAMO

Happy Friday!!!  I'm very happy it's the weekend, and so I thought I would post a perfect outfit for the weekend- something casual.  I love stripes and leopard as a combo, and another favorite combo I'm really loving lately is stripes and camo- I think they work really well together.  This jacket is from Old Navy and is such a steal!  I put on some comfy white converse, and added a little fun jewelry and a big handbag to complete the look.  I could live in this outfit on the weekends!  What's your favorite thing to wear on the weekends?

WARDROBE WEDNESDAY: ONE LAST TIME

Hey there!  If you are in the northeast like me, then perhaps you too woke up to snow this morning!!! Are we serious, old man winter?  I mean the calendar says spring, but the temperatures certainly don't feel that way!  Anyway, I would like to jump on the spring fashion bandwagon and start wearing more florals and pastels, but I figured the weather was a good excuse to break out some winter pieces one last time (my fingers are crossed as I am typing this ;)!  Hopefully this is it!  I also added this new Sira & Mara bracelet which may be my absolute favorite!  I love to stack, but this baby has stolen the show!!!

FASHION FRIDAY: TRES CHIC

Sometimes an article of clothing can really change your whole attitude about getting dressed for the day, and that's exactly how I felt when I saw this sweater.  When you put something on that says "Tres Chic," well you sort of feel a bit chic hahaha!  All kidding aside, I wore this outfit over the weekend to run some errands and to have dinner out with the family.  I added a fun hat, some pretty jewelry and a beaded clutch to make it a bit more dressy and I like the way it turned out.  Happy Friday jet setters...hope you all have a great weekend!

WARDROBE WEDNESDAY: FEELING LIKE SPRING

I love anything with a floral print because it reminds me of spring!  This past weekend, it almost felt like spring when the temperatures got up into the upper 50's and low 60's, so we decided to head to the beach and feel the sand beneath our toes!  I put on these floral leggings for the occasion, and loved the comfort factor and the print.  I have to say that this was totally out of my comfort zone (I usually only wear patterns on the top for fear that on the bottom they will just make my "bottom" look bigger).  I really originally bought these leggings to only wear while lounging around the house, but when I added a longer flowy blouse, a longline cardigan and booties, I decided to go for it! I also put on my Sira & Mara Shine Bright Necklace in honor of the sun!
