WARDORBE WEDNESDAY: JUMPSUIT JOY

Jumpsuits have been very in style lately, and I couldn't be happier about that!  They are so easy, lightweight, perfect for travel, and can be dressed up or down.  I picked this one up at T.J. Maxx for $16.99 a couple weeks ago, and love the terrycloth/cotton fabric.  It's so comfortable, casual, and I love its beachy-vibe.  I wore it to the beach in the evening when we took the kids to play in the sand, so I paired it with a crochet sweater since it was a bit cool and I also added a fun statement necklace.

ALL ABOARD THE FLEMINGTON RAILROAD!

A couple of weeks ago we took the kids on a train ride!  But, this wasn't just any train ride, it was a ride on the Flemington Railroad- The Black River & Western Steam Railroad from the 1950's!  The ride is short (good for young kids), plus it's pretty and scenic and runs between Flemington and Ringoes, New Jersey.  The boys had fun, and it was great to ride on such an old locomotive!

WARDROBE WEDNESDAY: EASY BREEZY

There's nothing I love more than something that's stylish, yet easy breezy and comfy!  I fell head over heels in love with this affordable outfit (top: $14.99 and bottoms: $16.99) that I found at TJ Maxx (#maxxinista) because it's so lightweight and can be worn to the beach with flip flops, or with fun sandals to head out with family for some drinks on the boardwalk (that's what we did after we snapped these pics! Lol!)  Hope your week is going great jet setters!

WARDROBE WEDNESDAY: OUTLET SHOPPING

Hi Everyone!  For today's Wardrobe Wednesday, I just wanted to tell you how much I love outlet shopping!  Part of living the JetSetSmart lifestyle is knowing how, when and where to find good deals...and the outlets sure have plenty of them.  I got this dress last summer at the Gap outlet for $20, and I just love it so much!  The tribal print is fun, the colors are great, and the side slits make it so easy to walk in.  I added this Zara necklace which I wore before with this outfit to bring out the orange in the dress.  I also added new life to last year's dress by accessorizing with this bag I just got at Forever 21 for under $30, and these shoes which I picked up at Marshalls in the clearance section for $49!  I love great fashion finds.  Where do you like to shop for inexpensive fashion?

A PIRATE ADVENTURE!

Last weekend we did one of the most fun things we have done yet with the boys...we went on a pirate adventure!  Jersey Shore Pirates is an actual pirate ship that sails on the Metedeconk River in Brick, New Jersey.  It was a great way to spend the afternoon with the kids!
The fun started the minute we got to the pier.  The crew painted tattoos on the children, the kids got to dress up in pirate costumes, and they also learned some "pirate lingo" before they hopped aboard.  All the kids got pirate names too...our boys were "Brave Brody" and "Rip Tide Richie!" ;-)

Once on board, all the little mateys helped look for the treasure map in the river, and also helped battle the "stinky pirate" by using the ship's water canons before retrieving the treasure chest from the river which was filled with lots of goodies for the kids.

The adventure is perfect for kids between 3-8 years old.  Brody was a little young to get involved, but had fun nonetheless.  Richie, who is quite reserved sometimes when trying new things, felt very comfortable because the staff was very good at getting him involved.  He participated in all of the activities and had such a blast!

We seriously can't say enough about how much we all enjoyed it, and we will definitely go back for more adventures in the future!

JERSEY SHORE EATS

One thing that Rich and I LOVE to do is eat good food!  Whenever we travel, we always like to find the best spots (even if they aren't the fanciest or most hyped about) because we feel that you really get a good feel for travel and new destinations through what the locals eat.  Every weekend we spend "down the shore," we try our best to find new Jersey Shore Eats, and so today I'm sharing a few recent ones with you all.  If you live close to New Jersey, or plan to visit the shore this summer...definitely put these eateries on your list...you won't be disappointed!

MOGO KOREAN FUSION TACOS
850 Ocean Avenue and 632 Cookman Avenue
Asbury Park, NJ 07712
(732) 361-3684
MOGO has two locations- one on the boardwalk which is just a taco stand, and one which is more of a sit-down restaurant on Cookman Avenue- the main strip of downtown Asbury.  Both places are very good and offer everything from tacos to bibimbaps and kimchi friend rice.  Even if Korean fusion food is not your thing, I would definitely check it out anyway because the food is delicious and the prices can't be beat.  This is a fun change of pace from your traditional hamburgers and hot dots along the Jersey Shore boardwalks.

FRANK'S
1406 Main Street
Asbury Park, NJ 07712
(732) 775-6682
If you are craving the best egg sandwiches and pancakes in Monmouth County, then Frank's is your place!  It just might be my favorite spot to head to on the weekend.  The place looks like a diner inside (not fancy), but the staff is great, the portions are big, and the prices are reasonable.
AVENUE
23 Ocean Avenue
Long Branch, NJ 07740
(732) 759-2900
Avenue is a sophisticated, upscale restaurant.  If you are looking for a great date night spot, or a place to wow your visiting friends, then head to Avenue.  The menu is French, the decor is modern, and there is also outside seating overlooking the ocean...can't beat that!
BROAD STREET DOUGH CO.
2005 Route 35 North
Oakhurst, NJ
(732) 531-1401
This donut place recently opened and serves up hot, fresh donuts daily.  There are many options for what you can get, from the traditional jelly and glazed, to the more fancy options like the S'mores Galore (chocolate frosting graham crackers and caramel)!  The base of the donut is rather dense (not my favorite), similar to an old fashioned donut. (I prefer light and airy).  Nevertheless they are good, and you can't go wrong with a donut!  For a great cup of coffee head to Rook a few doors down!

ROOK COFFEE
Various locations throughout Monmouth County
For the best cup of coffee, look no further than Rook Coffee!  Any morning that starts with Rook is an awesome one!  I highly recommend a cup of the Honduran (each cup is brewed individually so it's fresh and flavorful).  They also have great bagels and pastries...my favorite thing to get is a plain bagel flat with fig butter!
